Summary of the NERG Meeting held on the 13^th March 2003

The assembled members totaling about 25 were treated to an excellent presentation from Mark Stephenson VK3PI on some of his exploits in ham radio and as a member of the CFA. Stories (with photos) of the pretty young women he met on WICEN duty drove home the importance of such activities.  Pictures of some foxhunting NERGs resplendent with facial hair were also produced along with some stories that seemed far fetched but possibly true!  The view of Mark’s foxhunting Ford Escort being loaded onto a truck following its demise on a hunt was very distressing.  The event was worse for the team as this was the supper hunt and they did not make it back to partake!!

Mark is to be congratulated on his presentation style and whit and all members had a very entertaining evening – thanks Mark.

Planning for the field day was completed (or nearly so) and we all headed off to begin packing.
